Ancestral Currents: An Evening of Family Constellations

Explore the ancestral & collective forces that shape our lives

In our quest for belonging and a fulfilling life, we are often called to return to our roots. Join Amanda Cassiday for an evening of Family Constellations — a healing modality that illuminates the unseen currents of our ancestry, reveals hidden patterns shaping our families, work, relationships, and health, and invites the flow of love within our systems and our lives.

What you can expect

During this 3-hour ceremony, participants will receive a brief intro into Family Constellation work before collectively entering into the field through guided meditation. Most of our time will be spent together in circle, where we will create a sacred container that nurtures mindful observation, compassion, and non-judgement while staying rooted in our own experience.

Some participants may volunteer to serve as the issue holder, bringing a personal question or challenge to be explored in a constellation. We will have room for 2-3 issue holders, so if there are more volunteers than that, they’ll be blindly and randomly selected.

Others will be invited to serve as representatives within the constellation. Representatives for a constellation will be determined by the facilitator, and selected by either the issue holder or facilitator. As a representative, this is simply a time to be present and aware without judgement or censorship, and notice what feelings, sensations or movements arise. Representatives serve as a vessel, a hollow bone, in service of the family system they are representing.

Others may simply witness the unfolding with presence and openness. It has been shown time and again that all who participate — whether as issue holders, representatives, or witnesses — receive meaningful insight and healing from the work. The issues that present themselves, the roles that we represent, and the unconscious familial patterns that reveal themselves can all share a deep resonance with all participants, offering meaningful insights and opportunities for transformation. Just as transformative is joining together in a sacred ritual of collective care, practicing opening our hearts to one another, being in our bodies and heartspace honestly and compassionately alongside each other, and both witnessing and being witnessed in our healing journey.
